Olney Theatre to Donate
a Portion of Proceeds from
Ticket Sales to USO-Metro
Fort Myer, VA, April 2, 2008—The USO of Metropolitan
Washington (USO-Metro) is proud to partner with Olney Theatre
Center for their upcoming production of 1776. For any
ticket purchased through the Olney box office where “USO”
is mentioned, $5 will be donated to USO-Metro.
1776 is a light-hearted look at John Adams,
Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson as they grapple with the
Continental Congress and independence from Britain. Inspired by
the words of our founding fathers, this critically acclaimed musical
comedy is filled with lively songs, witty dialogue, and true American
spirit.
1776 will run April 9th through May 18th.
