Fort Meade

Fort Meade and the National Security Agency (NSA) combined are the largest employers in the state of Maryland and the 4th largest workforce of any Army installation in the continental United States. The total population of the base is 109,000. The USO Center is located near the Defense Information School student barracks. Programs are geared toward military families and service members serving on active duty status.

Since 2007, the USO at Fort Meade has been the place where parents and children come to connect with other families on post. Since the new location opened in January 2013, the Fort Meade USO has served 38,765-- that's 4,845 a month! The USO brings the community together in an effort to overcome the sense of isolation that military families may experience with frequent moves, deployments and other endeavors synonymous with the military lifestyle.

The USO at Fort Meade hosts and helps support a variety of programs and activities designed to boost morale and welfare of service members and their families. Community members may wish to fellowship, participate in activities such as family game night, scrapbooking, and knitting, or take advantage of freshly brewed morning coffee or our coupon and movie exchange program.
